CAGE Opens on Friday

Friday it's real. After months of building, CAGE opens and the first edition belongs to whoever walks through the door.
Where did it come from? Partly from you. People at UNLEASHED kept asking for harder music. And partly from something harder to ignore: going out in Berlin has quietly turned into a luxury. Door prices keep going up. Plenty of kink nights now start at 30€ or more. We know we are part of the problem with UNLEASHED, but different venues have different costs. But as prices keep rising, a scene built on openness slowly becomes less accessible. CAGE pushes the other way. We started early birds at 10€, moved to 16€ on presale, and capped it at 20€ online and on the door. No dynamic-pricing games, no "last release" panic. One fair number.
So set your expectations right: this isn't a polished, high-gloss production. It's stripped back on purpose. Two rooms — peak-time techno in one, hard techno in the other. A generous chill-out area and a dedicated play space. And a habit we're keeping from day one: fruit, ice cream and sweets on the house, because nobody should run out of fuel at 5am.
The space
You'll find us in the railway arches at Alexanderplatz, in the new AMT Club below the tracks — concrete, low ceilings, zero shine. Look for the Späti. There's no club signage, so you walk in through the kiosk and head down the stairs. Two floors, with space for around a thousand people when it's full.
The sound is a Kirsch Audio rig. Fair entry doesn't mean a thin PA. Drinks are kept cheap on purpose, so the limit on your night is your stamina, not your bank balance. Cash and card both work — at the door and the bar. We wrap up at 09:00 — but this can change for next editions if the floor is still full by then.
Edition one keeps the play area deliberately modest: beds and swings, nothing more. We'd rather grow it around what the room actually wants than sink money into guesswork. So treat round two as an open question.
Find AMT — Dircksenstraße 114, 10178 Berlin

How the door works
Our rules are short. Yes means yes. Maybe means no. No means no. The club's awareness crew is around the whole night — find them whenever you need to. If something's wrong, flag it there and then and they deal with it. Cross a line and you're out: there's no negotiation.
Everyone's welcome across the gender spectrum — queer, LGBTQIA+, kink-curious first-timers included. Come solo, as a pair, as a crew. We select on consent and on dress, never on how photogenic you are. 21 and over — carry ID.
The dress code is: sexy techno, kink, fetish. Latex, leather, harness, lingerie, bare skin — all welcome. Leave the street clothes at home.
The rest is on you
We remember a Berlin where a single night could mean three different clubs. We're not here to romanticise it — and we're honest that 20€ still isn't where we want to land. But a 10€ early bird points at the Berlin we're trying to drag back into focus.
Here's the straight version: CAGE is a wager. There's a gap in the city and it keeps widening, and whether this turns into something bigger — more play space, more floors, more dates — comes down to whether the room fills and the crowd carries it. We'll build the frame. Whether the scene actually wants this direction is your call to make. Turn up Friday and you've already answered.
Step inside. Lock the world out.
